Disembowels second demo from 1993, Returning To The Grave has been added to the list of downloadables.
Disembowel's Returning To The Grave was recorded at the band's rehearsal studio from the 22nd to the 26th of December 1993. It was done in the same way as the first demo, borrowing and renting equipment. But this time a little more time was spent on the production, and also only 4 tracks were recorded.
Kim:"I don't remember that much from the studiotime. This was during the christmas and I think we worked for two days and took christmas eve off and then finished the project the next two days. We used an 8-track Alesis Adat recorder which recorded onto video-tapes, and I am not sure if it was a Soundcraft mixer we used, but anyways, the mixer had a DSP effects unit built into it and I thought that was pretty cool. I also remember that we added a 15" Peavy speaker to the rest of the guitar rig to get that massive bottom end on the low B on the guitars. We were really into sonically good sounding records, especially those that came out of Morrisound studios in Tampa Florida. Scott Burns produced a lot of great albums for bands like Obituary, Deicide and Napalm Death, and we were really trying to emulate that massive, powerful and crystal clear sound."
